Sara Rubio, APRN, CPNP-PC is a licensed and board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner specializing in primary care. Sara stared her nursing career after graduating from Victoria College with an Associate's Degree in Nursing. She later graduated with honors from the University of Texas - Arlington with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing. She then furthered her education at the University of Texas - Arlington where she earned her Master's of Science Degree in Nursing with a specialty as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. It was during this time that she completed a large portion of her clinical training under the guidance of Dr. Stephen Dentler and Rachel Hanslik, PA-C.
Sara has been practicing as a nurse for 14 years in the Golden Crescent area with 12 of those years specializing as an emergency room nurse and earning multiple accolades throughout those years. She is board certified through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing and Texas Medical Board. Sara is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
She is excited to be the newest provider at our practice and is looking forward to building a rapport with our patients and their families.
Sara is a lifelong resident of Port Lavaca where she lives with her husband, two children and their two dogs. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading and traveling.
